Abysmal fires burn the paths of my abandoned journey.
Feeding the pyre that scorches me,
The dying god.

The flesh starts to wither, the rebellion of synapses.
As this is the very day, the day of my deliverance.
The light in me begins to expire.
I stare into my darkest destiny.

The ideal I strived for,
Crumbles in my hands.
Looking out of the abyss,
At this point of no return.
Every cell in my body,
Still tries to reach completion,
But there is none!

My nature forbids me to
Cut through the ghastly mist.
The horrors I’ve seen,
Feast upon my inner self.
With every breath of my life,
The wheel of purpose turns on!

Every being is part of painful purification
By death and rebirth!
This is the cleansing rhythm of the cosmos,
Where all souls are imprisoned for eternity!

What is the fear of death?
To die before my deeds are fulfilled.
What is the joy of life?
Knowing to die, as my will was done.

Slowly the blade cuts through the chord.
The body, now released, free from pain, free from being.
Levitating in a new universe, the soul exhausts,
Far from light, far from darkness.

Now I am pure.

Very late to the party, but for several years I've found melodic black metal all too similar and all albums sounding like Dissection, etc... HOWEVER, not only I am back into it but UADA is still a layer of complexity above the main baseline and this is an old album worth having, that's a basic milestone in UADA's discography and I felt it needed to be part of my BC collection. sachavonkarl74
